” Yo Daniel Tucux, soy guía certificado para guiar por Guatemala desde el dos mil diecisiete, me especializo en turismo de aventura y naturaleza .

Empecé en el mundo de las aves sin tener el equipo adecuado, lo cual me ayudó a desarrollar la habilidad para reconocer a las aves por medio su canto.

En el dos mil diecisiete tuve mi primer conteo de aves , donde comenzó la pasión e interés en conocer más de ellas llegando a posicionar Quetzaltenango a nivel departamental en los conteos anuales .

Desde el dos mil veintiuno he estado guiando a profesionales en la observación siendo ellos de países diferentes tales como: Ecuador, Montana, Costa Rica y Austria.

En el dos mil veintidós guié por algunos días al creador de la Guía de Campo del Norte y Centro América Jesse Fagan durante mi etapa de preparación , siendo el tour un éxito.

Hasta la fecha he hecho tours de observación de aves en el departamento de Quetzaltenango, de donde soy originario.”

Truly outstanding local guide service for birding and/or mountain excursions. I booked a birding trip to Laguna Chicabal with Daniel, the operator and main guide, and it was an extraordinary experience. 43 species sighted, including all of my target species, and Daniel had an exhaustive knowledge of each one’s song/calls, habits, likely locations. Myself and my daughter (not a birdwatcher) booked a full day birdwatching tour with Daniel and it was just incredible. While ,y Spanish is very limited, Daniel’s English was fantastic and his guiding through new bird species was excellent. I learned a lot about the birds, but also learned so much about the local culture and history. Even with a little bit of rain in the morning, he managed to work around it and we saw so much. It’s only a few weeks since the tour and I already want to go back and bird more.
